Jaxartes Posted December 11, 2016 Report Share Posted December 11, 2016 The "snake" game from a few months ago inspired me to do something similar for the classic "robots" game (turned out, much more work than I'd anticipated!). It's implemented in Verilog on the Papilio Pro with the Papilio Arcade, but should be portable to other FPGA platforms with comparable basic capacity. I don't know if it would work on Papilio One; it uses a relatively small fraction of the on-chip resources but the timing margin is a kind of narrow. Source code repository at: https://github.com/Jaxartes/fpga_robots_game It displays in 1024x768 on a VGA monitor, and is controlled by keyboard.
