Jack Gassett
Hello Rcon, Are you plugging in the USB cable and can you verify that the PWRSEL jumper is set to USB if using the Papilio One? Jack.

Jack Gassett
Ok, you need to remove the RetroCade Synth from the Papilio One and then you will find the PWRSEL jumper. Make sure it is on USB and then plug a USB cable into the Papilio One to provide power to it. You should see the power led light up if you are succesful. Then follow this guide:http://retrocade.gadgetfactory.net/index.php?n=Main.GetStarted Jack.
rcon303
Isn't not possible to use the retrocade synth by itself as a synth?the papillon one is necessary?
Jack Gassett
That is correct, the RetroCade Synth is an addon board for the Papilio, it does not do anything by itself... The Papilio Pro is the preferred board to use with the RetroCade Synth. I'm sorry it was not made more clear that the board does not operate by itself. Was it purchased on eBay? Send us an email at support@gadgetfactory.net and reference this forum thread in the email and we will give you a steep discount on the price of a Papilio Pro or we will buy the RetroCade Synth back from you.
