hamster
As some of you may know my son has spent plenty of time in hospital, usually hooked up to a Pule Oximeter - a device that measures O2 levels and Pulse. Scott Harden has managed to hack one together using a LED, a photo transistor, a LM324 quad op amp and a clothes-peg, which then uses a sound card input for analysis This is is quite an achievement considering that real-world units start at over two hundred dollars for *just the sensor*! http://www.swharden.com/blog/2013-04-14-simple-diy-ecg-pulse-oximeter-version-2/ It would be really neat to create an FPGA based Oximeter with a VGA display... maybe using a hacked up differential ADC for the input. Or maybe using the ADCs on the pcDuino,,,
Jack Gassett
That would be really cool. It looks like measuring O2 levels is the most challenging part? Jack.
