Todds
I have seen that the retailers do not have stock of this board for the last few times I have tried to order. I also see a few new projects which look like they cover the same capabilities. Will the Logicstart or the pro then be the boards to wait for if I am looking for the arcade megawing/papilio? Jack Gassett
Hello,No, it's definitely not discontinued. I made a new version of the board and I was trying to get the new version manufactured before the stock ran out, but I wasn't fast enough. I just talked to Seeed Studio and they expect a new batch of the current Arcade MegaWing to be ready by the end of August. I will continue work on bringing the new Arcade MegaWing to market for the next batch of boards. It's probably a good thing to delay the new version, it will allow me to focus more on the RetroCade Synth project. The new Arcade MegaWing is really going to be at it's best when it is paired with the new Papilio Pro boards. On a side note, I have the Atari 2600 project, A2601 working on the Arcade MegaWing. I just need to clean up the source code and get it released. I will try to make some time to get that done soon.Jack.

neslekkim
But will the LogicStart suffice while waiting for the new arcade megawing? (I'm expecting the LogicStart in the mail anyday now.. )I ordered an joystick also, but found that LogicStart doesn't allow for attaching it, so that one will wait until the new megawing shows up I guess. Jack Gassett
I checked in a change to the Pacman UCF file that allows the LogicStart MegaWing to be synthesized.I think if you plan on being hands on and synthesizing the Papilio Arcade games yourself, and don't mind using the onboard micro-joystick, then LogicStart MegaWing is fine. If you want a better supported board to experiment with the arcade games then the Arcade MegaWing is the way to go.Jack.
Felix
adding LogicStart support to Arcade Blaster should be easy. Just need new empty.bit (assuming vga/joystick/button/etc assignments are different between LogicStart and Arcade MegaWing) files and to tweak 2 xml files. neslekkim
cool, I got the Papilio and LogicStart now, wow, those things are small, I thought they was a bit bigger than this http://instagram.com/p/PAMFHWjOuS/I can see that the small joystick is not good for gameplay, but for testing and so, it should suffice, at least until the new megawing is ready.Depends a bit about what features it will have, if one want it or not.. I want to have better graphics, but the rest I think is ok..
Jack Gassett
People keep telling me they are surprised that it is smaller then they thought it was. I need to take some new pictures with some kind of perspective, like in a hand or something.
