NebulaH
Hi there, Maybe this is not the place to make these kind of suggestions... but I came up with an idea. Wouldn't it be nice to have a metadata file (next to a .mod, .sid, .snd, etc) that contains information like bpm's, looping (boolean), loop counts, option to overrule modfile tempo, etc... When combined with a tempo-master-clock, we could have a sort of sync. It might be too much for now, but I'm dreaming of having my raspberry pi as a host and be able to control the RetroCade synth with my Novation Launchpad for Live performances : - NebulaH
Jack Gassett
NebulaH, Good idea, I'm getting the github area setup where you can officially submit feature requests like this. It might be too much for now, but I'm dreaming of having my raspberry pi as a host and be able to control the RetroCade synth with my Novation Launchpad for Live performances [img alt=:]http://www.gadgetfactory.net/gadgetforum/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif I've had the same thoughts. We've been working in other parts of the forum to get the Papilio playing with the RasPi and have been having good luck so far. I think we will need a linux native dashboard at some point to have a full RasPi RetroCade solution. Or use the USB for a controller like the Novation Launchpad. Another idea is to use the Wifi Wing I'm working on to allow Ipad and Android tablet's to be used as Dashboards. Jack.
NebulaH
That's great news! ;D Good to see Eelco is also testing with the toolchain on the raspberry pi. Yep GPIO connectors to the papilio would give us nice integration although USB might be enough. Thank
