Exchange of data between Papilio Pro and PC

Hi,

what if I would like to create a VHDL entity simulating the USB? Since the Papilio is provided with USB connector and a transceiver module, I want to establish a communication by using only VHDL code

Regarding the usb communication, is it possible to use the USB host shield of arduino with the papilio pro? Usually the shields work with 5V but the papilio provides only 3.3 V

A 3.3V device can drive 5V logic since 3.3V is high enough to be considered a '1' by 5V logic. For the inputs you will need to put a 390 ohm resistor in series to protect the pin from too much current. With the current limiting resistor it is fine to connect a 5V input to the Papilio boards.

Jack.
