Software Locations and file directory Preference Locations?

Recommended Posts

I'm following along YouTube video to get blink working on AVR. The schematic is never found. A file, PDF, is located in directory tree. Is there a document which explains where the IDE is looking for SW and can locations be changed if needed?

Hello Keefep,

Sorry for slow response, I was at Maker Faire and then at Grandfather's funeral in Florida. Just got back last night.

So all of the files should be located in the circuit directory for your project. Unless you have a "#define circuit" statement in which case it will be in the matching directory in your libraries directory where DesignLab is installed.

Jack.

My condolence on the passing of your grandfather...

I so new to this that I've only have loaded DesignLab fumbled thru getting Xilinx loaded and security enabled (I think), and began to try following yourvYouTube videos. However, very little resembles the examples. The DesignLab is the same ant menu items. But the file within directories are not even close to what your video is requesting I click on. My installation is in the weeds for some reason. My laptop is running a Vista 64bit.

Yes, I've been there. Most of the videos seen to assume level of understanding which I don't have. Example "Open Project" familiar term but not specific enough for newbie, plus what I fumble and find looks nothing like video...
