Papilio Pro Serial Flash Issue

3 posts in this topic

I just got my Papilio Pro, and I am unable to get any bitstreams to run from the flash.

any bitstream I load the the fpga runs fine, and i was under the impression that loading it to the spi flash will cause that bitstream to run at next reset.

what I get when using the java GUI (2.7, rebuilt from github) (under linux)

Also, the papilio pro has a large amount of flash, and there is mention of having several images (bit files) on the flash.  what's the mechanism for this?  is this supported by the loader?

The Papilio Loader should cause there to be a restart after the bit file is loaded... Maybe there is a bug in the Linux version, try to do a papilio-prog -C command and see if that forces the restart.

For the multiple bit files, the spi flash supports that but there is no completed project yet to demonstrate that working...

Jack.
