ericbaek
Hi~ I want to implement the AVR8 soft processor on my FPGA(Xilinx Virtex-4 ML402 + USB platform cable). But my board doesnt have FTDI IC for uploading bitstream. and the IDE doesn't detect my board. what should i do for the IDE can detect my board? or If i can get merged bitstream in harddisk, i think i can upload the bitstream using Xilinx iMPACT software. Thank you all~
Jack Gassett
While it is possible to do, it would require quite a bit of work to support another board. Jack
ericbaek
Hi Jack, Thank you for providing all stuffs in the website. Is "quite a bit of work" similar to the merging way using Data2MEM of AVR8 1.2(or 1.1 or old version)? If not, please could you explain me simply what work I should do? Thank you! Jack Gassett
I guess you would have to update the ucf file to support your board and then get the HDL project to synthesize for your board. Then you would need to make a new core in the Arduino IDE for your board. Jack.
