aventuri
hello boys,i saw an announce recently about the opensourcing of a 2D/3D commercial GPU of the late nineties: https://github.com/asicguy/gplgpu maybe it's good companion for the "soon to come" HDMI wing for Papilio Pro? (or for Pipistrello) bests Andrea PS sadly enough it's in verilog, the "perl" of HDL! :-)
Jack Gassett
Holy Cow! I need to take a closer look at this, it might be really nice to add it to the Papilio Schematic Library. The amount of memory needed is the biggest hurdle I'm sure, going to read the doc now. Definitely bookmarking for later to keep in the bag of tricks. Thank you for posting this. Anyone care to try to implement it with ZPUino or something?
EtchedPixels
The licensing is a bit odd it says "GPLv3 for non commercial use", however GPLv3 forbids such additional restrictions so presumably its either GPLv3 for any use, or illegal to use and I've no idea which. offroad
Somehow I have my doubts that this will be attractive for a small FPGA.Too many "*" : https://github.com/asicguy/gplgpu/blob/master/hdl/de3d/de3d_texel_pipe.vOn an ASIC, 8x9 multiplication would be no big deal. >> PS sadly enough it's in verilog, the "perl" of HDL! :-)sorry to break the news but that's how your cell phone looks from the inside.
