hamster
I've spent a while playing around with the smart RGB LEDs based around the WS2812B part. They are quite easy to drive. See http://hamsterworks.co.nz/mediawiki/index.php/Intelligent_LEDs if interested (and yes, the code is a bit hacky)
Jack Gassett
Ohhhh, maybe I should try to pick up some of these in Shenzhen? Jack.
Jack Gassett
I went to the Shenzhen market yesterday and I think I picked up a 4 meter strip of these ws2812b LEDs for 255 Yuan or $42. I also picked up what I think is a 4 meter strip of ws2812 LEDs for 45 Yuan or $7.5. I won't know for sure until I can get home and test them out, but if they pan out I got business cards to order some more. Jack.
