  1. Hi, I would like to know how many DCMs can be added to the papilio, and can the DCMs always only drive global clock pins? I want to generate a few clocks and not use a state machine to generate them. Regards Enigma
  2. Hi Jack, Thanks for the help, I will look into how to update it then. Thanks. Regards
  3. Hi, I have been playing with the AVR8 module for quite some time, but today was the first day I ran into an issue. I have recently installed Xilinx version 13.4, and after synthesis now, the sketch I had been using now for a long time does not want to upload to the board. ERROR : Data2MEM:6 - Illegal token ' RAMB16', 'opening range bracket '['' expected. Line #24, File "bitstreams\custom_bd.bmm". PM_Inst/RAM_Word0 RAMB16 [15:0] [0:1023] PLACED = X0Y6; make: *** [pcustom] Error 3 I am really confused why this now does not work any more. Could someone please help, or explain how I can fix it, I really want to continue playing with the AVR8. Regards
  4. Hi Jack, Thanks, this is too cool! Also I think you are doing a great job at not just helping them, but to get them to enjoy working with FPGAs! Keep up the excellent work, wish I could give a double thumbs up somehow! Regards
  5. Hi, I just started using the AVR8 and found it very fun to play with. I would like to know how can I make the AVR8 just output the value of what is received by the uArt? Detail : I would like to have the AVR8 to accept input, form say putty, then output this ASCII output, 8 bits, to pins on the Papilio board. Reason : It will be fun to see as I type in putty how my connected LEDs to my 8 pins flicker in binary as I type in the Putty terminal. I know this should be easy, but I have no idea how to do this, is there standard AVR8 library , functions... to do this? Regards
  6. Hi Jack, Yes, thank you this solved my problem. Thank you for your prompt response! Regards
  7. Hi, I have successfully tested the quickstart bit file for the board. But now that I am trying to load my own very simple bit file I get the following error : " 'bash.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" I ran it as through the programmer batch file. Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue? Regards
